What is Lactation Support?

At Pine Integrated Health Centre, lactation and infant feeding support is provided by a collaborative team that includes both International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) and Registered Nurses Providing Lactation Support.

They are breast feeding specialists who are professionally trained in techniques that help educate, guide and support mothers on ways to feed their baby. They work with families to provide education, hands-on guidance, and practical strategies to help navigate feeding in the early postpartum period and beyond.

Lactation support can help with a wide range of concerns, including latching difficulties, milk supply challenges, painful feeding, and concerns about infant weight gain or feeding progress.

No matter what stage you are at in your feeding journey, our team is here to provide compassionate, evidence-informed support tailored to your family’s needs. We focus on helping you feel confident, supported, and equipped with practical, real-world strategies for feeding success.
