Philosophy:

My therapeutic approach is grounded in authenticity, empathy, and nonjudgment. I believe that meaningful change occurs through genuine connection and collaboration, and I work alongside clients to support them as they navigate life’s challenges. I also value the role of humour in therapy, as it helps create a safe, comfortable space where we can think creatively, build resilience, and approach growth with compassion and hope.

Treatment Specialities:

As a psychologist, I strive to create a space where clients feel reassured, understood, and validated as they navigate meaningful change. I work primarily with adults, including women and parents. I support concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), and life transitions. I have a particular interest in perinatal mental health and how hormonal fluctuations impact mental health across the lifespan, including PMDD, perimenopause, and menopause. My approach is collaborative, direct, and infused with humour, integrating science, current literature, and education to help clients better understand their experiences. Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT, ERP, EMDR, and mindfulness, I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, helping them build insight, resilience, and practical strategies for well-being. In addition to clinical work, I am also available for speaking opportunities on topics such as PMADs, hormones and mental health or general psychological well-being.

Fun Fact about Sam:

I really love eating from food trucks. Doesn’t matter the type of food, as long as it’s from a food truck – I will love it!
