I have always wanted to help people by working in the healthcare field. Growing up in the small town of Camrose, Alberta, I wanted to experience the big city. So in 2009, I packed up and moved to Edmonton to begin my journey.
I completed a Hospital Unit Clerk program at Norquest College and worked as a Clinical Drug Services Analyst at Alberta Blue Cross. However, I wanted something more. I wanted a different focus in health care and to provide hands on treatment in a natural way. Having used massage as my own healing remedy, I decided to take the leap of faith and explore it as a career. I completed the 2200 hour massage program at Alberta College of Massage Therapy (ACMT) in January 2021 and have never been more excited to immerse myself into the world of massage!
I love helping people with massage and I am passionate about women’s health and wellness. My interest in massage comes from using it in my personal life as a tool to relieve stress, anxiety and to improve skin conditions and circulation. I believe massage is one of the safest and most natural ways to improve mental and physical health. It addresses both the mind and body at the same time, which is so important for overall health.
I treat massage as a creative outlet where I can create tailored sequences and unique treatment plans for my client’s individual needs. I incorporate both relaxation and therapeutic massage techniques, so the client begins and ends the session feeling relaxed, comfortable and content. My goal as a massage therapist is for my clients to feel better than when they first arrived. I am currently further exploring facial and neck massage techniques, as well as cupping treatments. In the near future, I hope to offer these additional modalities in my practice.
In my free time, I enjoy being in nature, going for hikes in the mountains and camping. I also recently took up snowboarding as an activity for the winter. I am a lover of music and art. I enjoy attending live music concerts and exploring art markets. Self expression is important for me, so I make it a priority to paint and connect with my creative side.
