Philosophy and style
During my master’s degree I had the option to take a pelvic health elective and realized how
little we as women are taught about our reproductive and sexual health. My interest in women’s
health continued to grow and I learned heartbreaking truths about our healthcare system and
the mismanagement of women’s health. This did not sit well with me, and I knew I wanted to
pursue this specialty and work towards elevating the standard of care for women’s health.
I take on a patient centered approach to therapy where I make sure to start with a thorough
understanding of the individual’s history and their goals for physio. I make sure my clients
understand why their injury/condition occurred and how the treatment I am providing will
address it. My main goal is to empower clients learn about their bodies, answer their questions,
and remove any shame that may have been associated with their issues. I strive to build
collaborative relationships with my clients where we can work together to reach their goals and
get them back to doing the things they love.
