Philosophy:

We can all find ourselves at a point where we feel overwhelmed, disconnected, confused, or even completely hopeless. This simply means that we are human but also that we may need support and guidance to get us through this difficult time in our life.

My goal is to create an environment where you can come and be as you are so that you can work towards a deeper sense of connection, clarity, and self-awareness.

I join you in this work as another human being rather than an expert and collaborate with you to develop and reach your goals. As my approach is person-centered and strengths-based, we will mostly focus on your present to discover what is currently working and what isn’t. However, I believe that there is no topic that’s “off the table,” and with that, we may explore your past, present, and future during our time together. As each person and their story is unique, I draw upon techniques and interventions from a variety of approaches, such as cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, as well as the Gottman method for couples counselling.

Fun fact(s) about Milana:

If I’m not working and/or talking psychology, I’m doing one of the following: petting every animal I encounter, learning about interior design, traveling, or trying out a new coffee shop in YEG. Also, I moved to Canada when I was 14 years old.
