YES! My #1 rule for families, is ‘one family, one meal’. For a family with multiple preferences, this can feel daunting, but if we approach the table where everyone is offered the same foods, it makes WAY more sense. For those that are selective, they gain exposure (whether they eat new foods or not). For those who are hungry, there is always at least ONE option they can eat off the table. For the person who is preparing all this food, it will feel a weight has been taken off your shoulders. There are multiple ways to approach the challenge of deciding what to offer; like offering deconstructed meals, or seeking input from family members as what they might like on the menu, or giving choice in the ‘side’ that is served: “Are we roasted broccoli or raw cucumber?”
